CPL, SOI/DOI and sale models
Dating deals run on three billable events. SOI (single opt-in): a registration confirmed on form submit — highest volume, lowest quality. DOI (double opt-in): a registration confirmed via email link — cleaner, lower volume. Sale: a paid subscription or credit purchase — the event that actually maps to revenue. Payouts scale with the depth of the event: SOI leads are cheap, sales pay multiples. Which model fits depends on your monetization: subscription products should anchor on sale or DOI with a sale-rate gate; ad-monetized products can work with SOI if retention is measured. The exact event definition, validation and payout are fixed per offer — terms are discussed individually.
Lead quality KPIs
In dating, the registration is the beginning of the quality question, not the end. The metrics that matter: email confirmation rate (for DOI), profile completion, activity in the first days, and the metric that decides everything — the share of registrations that become paying users, per source. When you share per-source sale rates with the buying side, sources can be optimized toward users who monetize instead of users who register. Agree in the brief which metrics gate scaling: for example, volume grows only for cohorts whose sale rate or week-one activity meets your threshold. Without that loop, dating traffic buying degenerates into buying registrations of bots and the curious.
Funnel specifics
Dating funnels convert on immediacy and locality. Practically: the landing must match the ad's promise (mismatched funnels inflate registrations and collapse monetization), the form must be minimal on mobile, and the product must deliver local profiles fast — a new user who sees no nearby matches churns in minutes and never pays. GEO and language fit matters more here than in most verticals: a funnel localized properly for one market cannot simply be translated for another. Fix onboarding and the first-session experience before scaling spend; traffic cannot compensate for an empty first session.
Platform and content rules
Dating advertising faces strict platform policies: adult-adjacent creatives are restricted or banned on most mainstream placements, misleading relationship claims violate consumer rules, and some platforms require dating advertisers to pass certification. The practical consequence: compliant, non-explicit creatives on permitted placements scale further and last longer than aggressive creatives that burn accounts. You are responsible for the legality of your product presentation in each GEO; we enforce the agreed creative rules on our sources and do not run misleading or policy-evading funnels.
What makes a dating offer buyable
From the buying side, a dating offer is workable when: the billable event is defined and postbacks fire reliably (Keitaro, Everflow, Affise, TUNE, CAKE, Binom, RedTrack or your own); the payout reflects your real registration-to-sale economics; GEO targeting matches your product's actual active-user base; and creative rules are clear. Submit the offer through the brief — we will tell you directly whether the economics and GEO fit support a capped pilot.
What you get
- Managed media buying against your KPI
- Reporting on conversions and validation status
- Fraud filtering and source quality control
- Dispute resolution against written terms and logs
What we need from you
- Tracking with a working postback on the billable event
- Creative rules and legal constraints per GEO
- Fast approval feedback on leads and conversions
- License confirmation where your vertical requires it
Transparency
Reports, postbacks and disputed conversions are handled against written KPI terms and logs on both sides. Payout models, schedules and hold periods are agreed individually per offer and confirmed in writing before traffic starts.
FAQ
Q.SOI or DOI — which should I choose?
DOI when monetization depends on real users (subscriptions, sales): it filters bots and throwaway emails. SOI when your model monetizes activity broadly and you can measure retention per source. We recommend anchoring payouts on the deepest event your funnel reliably tracks.
Q.How do you prevent fake registrations?
Through source-level scoring, device and behavioral signals, deduplication, email confirmation logic where DOI applies, and reconciliation with your per-source sale and activity data. Sources producing systematically fake or non-monetizing registrations are cut.
Q.What KPIs should gate scaling?
The ones closest to your revenue: sale rate per cohort, week-one activity, or subscription start. Define them in the brief — volume then grows only on cohorts that meet your thresholds.
Q.Which GEOs work for dating offers?
Where your product has real active users in the target demographic — traffic cannot monetize empty rooms. Tell us your strongest markets in the brief; we confirm where our sources fit.
Q.What creatives are allowed?
Compliant ones: no explicit content, no fabricated user photos presented as real members, no misleading claims. Platform policies for dating are strict, and we run within them on every placement.
Q.Can I cap daily registrations?
Yes. Caps per day and per GEO are standard, especially in the pilot. They scale stepwise as cohorts pass your quality gates.
Q.What payout level works for dating?
It must reflect your lifetime value per paying user and the media cost of acquiring a monetizing registration in the target GEO. Share your registration-to-sale economics in the brief — feasibility is assessed per offer, not from generic tables.
Q.Which tracking platforms do you support?
Keitaro, Everflow, Affise, TUNE (HasOffers), CAKE, Binom, RedTrack and in-house postbacks. Postback correctness on the billable event is verified before traffic starts.
